Indeed. Now I just need another $125 mystery check to appear to cover the cost of rejoining AAA in order to get the battery brought out and installed to get me out of my jam.

In all it took me 3 hours of calls and researching on my phone and decision making to get back on the road. (AAA had me hooked up in under an hour from the time I began the process)
Between lost time today and all the rain in the week's forecast, I could lose as much money as I just shelled out in lost income - sort of the cherry on top.

For the record, As I was calling around pricing batteries, the Interstate Battery distributor wanted $154.95 for the same Interstate battery that AAA charged me $116 for.
Advance Auto and others were also priced higher than AAA. It was just the added expense of having to re-join that really put the screws to me. We didn't renew when it was time to because money was so tight. You roll the dice - sometimes you win and sometimes you sit stranded in your truck with a trailer full of mowing equipment and no way to get it started - and you have to pee really, really bad.

    I'm reluctantly going with this.

And it could have been worse. Could have needed a tow for mechanical reasons and I'd have to leave my trailer with my mowers unattended, hoping they weren't stolen until I found someone to go retrieve them later.

Should have called the Interstate battery on coal hollow, bought a battery off them for less than half the price of what a new one sells for, refurb with warranty.

    That's where I called.
I didn't know anyone sold refurbished batteries. Learn something new every day.
Either way, I was stuck and had no way to get a battery to me. I did ask if they "delivered" since I was only a few miles away in Highland Park. They don't.
All in all it just surprises me that AAA has a better price on batteries than most. I just assumed that since people are at their mercy, they could/would jack up the price, but they don't. (second time I've gotten one from AAA over the last 5 years and the first time was the same way - less expensive than any place I called - plus they come and put it in for you.)

I have roadside assistance on my car insurance policy, costs a dollar a month.
This is towing up to so many miles, jump starts, flat tire assistance and running out of gas.
Once when the fuel pump went out in my truck, I was able to get it towed home at zero cost.
Might be worth asking your agent about.

My problem is I have gotten used to that fact. When something good happens to me, I start looking for something to fail, usually dramatically.
