What did you buy yourself today - PART 1

Picked up an M1 Garand yesterday. Sold an AR because I wanted to spend half of that cash on an old bolt gun and then spend the rest on cast boolit gear. But the M1 won out. The stock and metal finish have character. The sling has Korean characters and the emblem of the South Korean Armed Forces. As for the barrel, it's what the British would call "right knackered". I'm hoping most of it is just dried up grease and muck since the cleaning patches are coming out a muddy brown instead of a reddish-orange brown like rust would. Otherwise, seems to be in solid shape.

Put a Remlin 1895SBL on layaway today. Couldn't pass up the price with a scope attached. But no pew pew pew for me. It's all about 18.5" of 45-70 lovin. Always wanted a stainless lever gun. Pics to follow when I bring it home.

I got 2015 produced 1895GBL, and have no complaint. Its solid weapon, and I LOVE 45-70!

It was always a plan to cast them. But have to buy more important molds first. Just bought 200 RNFP for 45 LC and leverguns and next is to replace my 38 158 SWC molds. Maybe after the 38's. 1k for a set of molds eats up the bank account quick.

On a side note now that I have a 45-70 its all the more reason to order my 458 Socom upper.

Picked up this holster out of the used bin at lgs today for my CZ 82. It was made for the Bersa thunder, but fits my 82 like it was molded for it. I'm still looking for a good owb holster for it, but for 15 bucks I couldn't turn this one down.
