I'd say the price difference is closer to $200-250. The Sport is typically between $600 and $680, whereas most of their other ARs start around $800 or more.

It also has a Melonite coated barrel, instead of chromed, and doesn't have a chromed chamber (only bolt carrier and gas key)...whether that's better, worse, or not noticeable is up for debate, there are plenty of threads discussing this.

Colt AR (M4 variant)...... just picked it up earlier today.......... put it on layaway about 2 weeks ago and just got the $ together........ can't wait to hit the range with it.

Well the past 2 weeks I ran into different people selling 100 packs of American eagle 223. Last weekend at Leesport fishing and hunting flea market I picked up 2 100 round boxes for $50. Kicked myself in the ass for not buying more thinking I would not see that deal again. Well today I did at a local flea market. I didnt make the same mistake twice and bought all 7 boxes for $25 each. 900 rounds of brass cased federal 223 for $225 is a good deal in my book. I'm very pleased.

My new Bersa Thunder 45 UC Pro. Got it 2 weeks ago at Anthony Arms, but haven't fired it yet (the range was too crowded that day and they were about an hour from closing). I hope to put a few rounds through it this week, though, if I get a chance.
