As long as those aren't PTS mbus' it won't melt on the gas block. According to magpul.

Actually, Magpul's repeatedly advised not to mount the MBUS on a gas block. I haven't ever seen them claim it's OK.

That said, most report no issues - although, some did report that they melted/broke the MBUS via gas block mounting. But they're a tiny minority.

Since this is just an 'extra' AR15, I doubt I'd shoot it sustained enough to melt it - and if I do, then I paid $30 for the science project of it all. No big deal.

    That's a fine AR. Nice.

What optic do you have on it?
If gun control worked, Chicago would be like Mayberry, instead of Thunderdome.

Ha. It's actually like... my 4th string AR. But the Huldra uppers are such a good deal ($600 complete) that I couldn't resist grabbing one.

The optic's just a Primary Arms red dot. Cheap... but they seem to be pretty solid. I use Eotechs on my better ARs.

Came home today to a nice package - love that C&R license. Picked up another Tokarev M57 - can't have too many of them Love the 7.62x25 round. In great shape for a cold warrior

Really? I've heard from a couple magpul reps on the ar15 forums and they claim it's safe.
