EM, this ammo has been hit and miss for me, last box I used it worked well in a couple of my semi's. Then I picked up another box friday and it didn't work to well in the same guns this past weekend. Also had the same thing happen in the past.

I've had pretty good luck with the Winchester "555" if available as a substitue for the Federal value pack.

In both cases you just unscrew the front sight and attach the new one with some LocTite.

I was also thinking of painting the sights myself. Me personally I can make out the sights fine but I am worried about my 60 year old parents who wear glasses.

Not to thread-jack but in the old days I have used white fingernail polish on front sights and it held up very well. Cheap fix if you have any laying around.

A Smith and Wesson Performance Center 586-7 4 inch compensated six shot no-lock revolver!!!


That there is the compensator and front night sight.

I do recognize my bias in these pictures favoring my new revolver. However, that mini 30 is going to have some work done. A new stock is coming, a scout mount for a holographic sight will be mounted and it may be refinished in OD green...

These were not really Christmas presents to myself, they replaced two items in my collection that I did not like very much. These are both shooters and they shall meet their destiny to be shot extensively.
