Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I was concerned, even though it is a US sourced barrel and the Wolverine is designed to be generous inside for just that reason, even with 7.62s . After I put on the can I used a length of drill rod of the correct diameter to check it because I’m using a 5.56 endcap on it. I did the same with my ARs, on which I will also use the Wolverine. I also did it for the Sub2K 9mm carbine that will be sporting a 12” long can called the Odessa-9. So four drill rods from McMaster-Carr cost me $34, half the price of one endcap.

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I know some of you will hate me for putting a CoronaScope on my schweet rifle, but I've read nothing except good reviews on the CVLife 2.5-10x40e optic. It's a cheap, tacticool scope for around $40 with an big fanbase, so why not - I already have the AimPoint PRO for a red dot, and I don't feel like ponying up hundreds of dollars on a real ACOG just yet (or even for this particular rifle). Most of the reviews for it come from people who are using them on .223 and 5.56 rifles anyway, so I took a spin, and I actually really like this scope on first impressions.
The build quality seems pretty good, everything works fine straight out the box, the glass is surprisingly clear at all magnifications, and I am pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it feels. I haven't taken it to the range yet since my local outdoor place is closed until Daddy Wolf says so, but I'm holding out some hope.

If the shit works use ,that's i am as well. I am experimenting with several new red dot setups that I would not normally buy, just because what I usually but is old out,so i read reviews and try some new ones, so far so good with those that I bought. you don't need a $500 to 2000 grand optic on everything you own.

Ordered this old Windham Bushmaster LEA trade-in and picked it up a few days ago. Clean internals, scratched up exterior. Might tactical it, might just slap a T91 upper on it, might just sell it at Oaks whenever that might be.

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
Just bought another P38, this one stamped “Manurhin Pistolet P1”, one of a 14,600-unit contract with the West Berlin police in October 1963. West Berlin was forbidden by the Four Powers Agreement to use armaments from West Germany. So, Walther made the parts and shipped them to Manurhin in France to assemble, stamp, and ship to West Berlin. Retired by the police in 1982, imported by Interarms. It’s a standard early post-war P38, unreinforced alloy frame, I’m not sure until I get it but I figure it doesn’t have the thick slide either. It does have the decocker with safety. Includes the Interarms box and two mags. I have a number of P.38-style pistols but this one was a Deutsche Polizeipistole, which I collect, so I had to have it.

Finally managed to snag an Insight LAM-1450 for my HK Mark 23. Now my Mk23 OHWS setup (or, close to it) is finally complete...
