Those are most likely Triple k, so quality may be suspect, even more so than Egyptian.

You are probably right. Many of my old guns have no original magazines available worth buying: Frommer Stop, Franz Stock, etc. I have had very mixed results from triple k, they’re either great or they totally suck.

There are used ones for just under $40 shipped. I wonder if they’re original ... free returns if not satisfied.

I noticed they raised prices and removed the free shipping options on several items by $19.99 one being the AKV-9.
It was on sale for 599 when I bought it.

I was looking for some sort of flash can or linear comp for the 7.62x39 pistol build.
Wanted something different than the run of the mill KAK flash can.
    Found this.

It's machined from a chunk of steel, so it's got some heft to it. Not sure the actual weight.
The inside is a smooth, continuous cone shape.
It's nicely machined and finished - pics don't do it justice.

    Haha!

I was going for old school Russian/Chinese machinegun style since it's a 7.62x39.

I wish the angle wasn't interrupted by the "straightened" end portion at the muzzle, but it wasn't expensive (more than a KAK) and it required no dicking around for adapting it - correct thread version avail for 5.56 or 7.62

RUGER 10/22 .22 LR "MANS BEST FRIEND" COLLECTOR SERIES RIFLE, OD GREEN

    $ 199.99 + a certificate for $25 at the Ruger store.

I bought my daughter one for her birthday a couple of weeks ago. Ordered the short stock pieces from Ruger (still backordered) and put it away for her birthday on 08/05. Not being one to let a gun sit unfired, I took advantage of day she wasn't home and put a couple of mags through it.

I really like the peep sight versus the usual Ruger 10/22 sight. It's also got the integrated rail. Trigger isn't the best but it went bang every time and was dead-on. I was wishing I bought myself one as well.

PSA sent me the email above, with the rifle $20 less than I paid for my daughter's. Now mine is on the way. I'll be ordering the high comb piece with the certificate so I have the option of a red dot.

Never thought to pick your brain on this.
    (cutting this thing wouldn't work)

This is what I had in mind. Not sure something workable exists.
I'm not well versed in the various thread sizes - whether adapters exist - etc...
