I love my Sears Roebuck Guns - Dad was a Store Manager back in the day when Sears was King! This ones a nice JC Higgins - Marlin 81 clone I believe. Just like the one Dad and I use to plink with when I was a kid.
Then there's the Smith and Wesson Model 3000 riot Gun - really nice shape and I don't see many of them around.

Picked up a M1 today. 1945 receiver and barrel. All Springfield Amory except the trigger group. Stripped it down tonight and cleaned everything. It is really solid gun. Nw I have to figure out how to put it bak together

I vowed in the 1980's that I'd never lower myself to own something as ugly as a Glock. Respect them, sure. But never considered owning one.

Then my youngest boy recently asked me about a carry gun and, knowing he'd want something a bit lighter than a steel CCO, my thoughts kept coming back to a Glock 26. Reasonable weight, reasonable cost, above average reliability...
It was time to set aside my ego and aesthetic sensibilities and give one of these things a fair chance.

One of these things.

Problem with lowballing multiple auctions is sometimes you end up winning more than you expected.
Oh, well. If I'm gonna break a vow, I might as well break it all to hell.
One (if I like it) for me and one (if he likes it) for the kid.

It's impossible to not like the G26. Full size shootability and the smallest 33+1 gun out there that I know of. Good job of getting Gen4s with their smaller frame reach (can obviously be made bigger with the back straps).
