Last one for the year and for a while; I've sold/traded a mess of guns this year in which I no longer held any interest, and part of the proceeds I used recently to purchase an AR pistol, specifically an LWRI limited production distributor special item:

Mine is very similar to the stock photo above, but piston-driven instead of DI, and it has the LWRI BUIS front and rear. I added a 1x red/green T-dot optic.

Bought it on the advice of a friend who has one of these and a LWRI carbine. I really liked the feel of the slim forend grip area. The brace is adjustable for length (shown fully forward above), but is about 1/2" under the maximum allowable OAL for a pistol with brace when fully extended. Clever.

Test drove it yesterday and it ate all three types of 5.56 ammo that I have in inventory, without issue. Being a pistol (it says "Pistol" right on the right side of the magwell), I can keep it in the car loaded with my LTCF. Heh.

    Very nice.

My BIL’s dpt issue rifle is a 11.5” LWRC with 3 round burst. It’s freaking nice and shoots like a dream. I was able to demo it on the County range where he instructs a few years back and it was a good time.

Ran up to Alderfers to pick this 59/66 up from the tuesday auction. Tossed a bid on it over the internet and nobody fought me for it.

Kinda wanted the Arizona Response Systems AK that I put a bid on a bit more, but this works. Bore is perfect, bluing is good, and the thing was caked in grease.

    Damned nice SKS.
I remember when Dunhams kept 30 of them on the rack for sale all the time.
Paid $119 for mine - that was at the end of the run for those at Dunhams.

I wish cheap SKSs were still around. I'd be buying a bunch of them for the hell of it.

And they shoot so much nicer than AKs in my opinion... Great rifle.

Some people think the Mini-14 shoots nicer then an AR. Other then caliber I'm not sure what any of them have to do with the other since mechanically they are all very far from one another.

Curious, can the folding bayonet be easily removed from those SKS and stored separately?
