Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I need another Gen 1 like a hole in the head - but when I put a low bid in and win - what the heck. This one isn't mint with all the goodies like the last one I got, but I like it. It's MPDC marked - simple MPDC stamp, nothing gaudy, some don't like PD stamped guns but I always have

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
Not a lot of holster makers have the form gun for a Colt .380 Gov't Model, so I was glad to find this Tuckable IWB on the "Sale" page at DM Bullard.
Nice leather, good stitching, clean seams and a very good fit.

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I won this from an auction last week. 1943 Finn captured PU sniper. It's going to take a few weeks for me to have the rifle in hand. It still sits in a PU stock (hoping it's original to the rifle). Auction photos aren't very flattering, but the rifle is rare/scarce. Floor plate is matching--hoping the stock is as well. Quite a few people have missed this, so I'll get it out of the way ("Why do you say it's a Finn capture?")--the "SA" stamp is on top of the serial number. The bolt handle has a visible "34"--I'm guessing the "12" just isn't visible in the photos (Finns added the last two or four digits of the rifle's serial numbers to the bolt flat or knob). Stock has a Finnish stock repair. I also bought a Belgian 89/36 Mauser at the auction, but I may end up selling it. I like shooting 7.63 Argentine ammo, but I paid a little more for the PU sniper than I was hoping to pay. The rifle is a 1943 Izhevsk. I didn't post the date as it wasn't as important as the other photos (five photo limit), though, a 1943 Finn capture is still pretty scarce.

Just curious... what's a Mosin going for at auction in western PA? I'm not in the market (got my 3 when they were cheap) but I do see some at auction in my area for sub $200 prices. I'd never pay the current $350+ prices the gun stores are asking.

And since this is "what did you buy today" I picked up my first 5.56 ak. Was surprised to see a shop still had new ones of these, and I am already making improvements
