Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I bought myself a Springfield Saint the other day. I know how people feel about Springfield, but it is a hell of a machine. As soon as I figure out how to post photos again, been gone a long time, I will!!

Allegedly there have been times where a round was chambered and the shooter didn’t even feel it.
It’ll be awhile before I shoot it yet. I’ve got to pick out a mount and glass and should probably get a dedicated bipod for it. Thinking another atlas.

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I picked up a used on the cabelas rack just to cycle it. And that one felt like glass, made my Rem 700 feel like sandpaper, and while the 700s are far from being known as super smooth cycling I never felt mine was terrible especially after 1000 cycles or so. Also this was not a super standard caliber rifle, like a 223 or 308 that would have likely been shot a ton.
Full disclosure I've never held a custom action but as far as the ease of cycling I can't see how they could be that much better.
