    Mag is dated 58.
I’m not sure if it has been arsenal refinished at some point but if it has been it’s a great job.
I don’t do natzy firearms except for occupied ones so it’s pretty much been one of these I’ve been after.
Did some trading (the guys who never get rid of a gun hate this I guess) so I have under $200 into it.

    Well done.
I don't collect the way a lot of you guys do (I would if I could), but I have sold a few rifles over the years.
I have to say, I almost always kind of regret it somewhere down the line.
I don't really have any specific reason for feeling like that, but I always get that lingering feeling.
But since I don't have the cash to move a lot of stuff around, it doesn't really come up very often.
I really do enjoy seeing what you guys manage to find.

Range trip. Fired Federal HV, CCI Target and Mini-Mags, and Remington sub-sonic. With and without suppressor. 50 total rounds. Three failures to extract with sub-sonic (recoil impulse too light?, otherwise reliable operation. Sights do not not provide accurate POA=POI but groupings didn’t suck. Suppressor is too tall for the sights.

    Interesting accessory.

Well knowing that silencers are only for assassins I don't think the sights matter much.
    Some people just plain suck.

My Ruger 22/45, and Walther PPQ .22 and SP22 all have tall enough sights to see over the Huntertown suppressor. Those are the only other .22 pistols I have with threaded barrels. It’s not a big deal, the suppressor makes the Makarov muzzle-heavy and with it’s shorter grip more ungainly to handle.

Ausgezeichnet! It looks like a late one, with thick slide and frame bolt. These were invariably run through the arsenal more than once before the Bundeswehr surplused them. The date on the frame is when it was taken out of service. The alloy frame is the only major difference between the P1 and P38. With the P4, Walther introduced the final improvements to the design, but by then nobody really wanted them anymore.
