You installed the bayonet in the wrong place.

I worked for a few buds of mine at the Oaks show and they let me sell a few things of mine on their table. After a few hours I sold three of my guns and was getting ready to wander the show in search of a Garand when a guy walks up with this BSA L1A1 slung on his shoulder and four mags for $1200. I asked for his lowest price and he said $975. I quickly pulled out the cash and never thought about a Garand for the rest of the day. I was humming "Rhodesians Never Die" and "Die Stem van Suid-Afrika" for the rest of the day though. The Colt Police Positive was from one of the guys I worked for, and he knocked down the price to $240. Finish is rough, but it locks up tight, timing is good, and everything functions. I also got a Navy shirt, 7.62 ammo, and a Confederate flag for the irony.

It's a Century import, but not a Century build. They supposedly imported a few L1A1 rifles for LEA-only sales and they were surplussed to the public over time.
