Now I see it, on my phone the pics are small and very dark.
I didn't notice the "shotgun" barrel at first.
    Thanks.

LeMat! Right on, this is a Pietta Navy Arms which has a cavalry trigger guard but the wrong kind of lanyard loop for a cavalry model...also it's in 44 cal which would have been a later issue and very uncommon during the civil war...
but I can't wait to shoot this thing!

Just got my shoot steel target assembled and tried it out with 300blk. The target is the 50yard rifle target so it's canted forward to both deflect into the ground and minimize trauma to the steel from rifle rounds. It handled the 150fmj 300blk without a scratch.

Would it be OK to ask you for the web site of the steel target vendor and if the stand came with it? I've been looking for something similar that's canted forward, 1/2" and maybe the target a little bigger.

Thanks for posting your timely pic!

This is the site that I got mine from. I would wait for their next big sales day. These aren't cheap $343. They had 22% off for Memorial day which saved me $75. It all came as one package bundle.

Shoot Steel has regular sales so sign up for their email and keep your powder dry until the next sale.

I've used their stuff for two years. I'd say it is about middle of the road on quality. My steel gong has been chipping around the edges.

Just picked up an Arsenal SLR-107CR. Now I'm ready for the Commies to invade. I got a SLR-104FR in 5.45x39mm, SLR-106FR in 5.56x45mm and a SLR-107CR in 7.62x39mm.
