Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I bought a new weapon light - a Nightstick AC460XL, 800 lumens, from LA Police Gear. I wanted a light for this M&P15, but I didn't want to spend much money to equip my AR #3, and this is surprisingly good for a $60 light. The pressure switch is just secured with cable ties for now while I try it out. The weakest point was the cheesy mount that came with it, so I used the new Fenix ALG-00 mount that I just bought to mount a Streamlight P2X Fury on AR #2. This runs on 2 CR123's. I was hoping it would work with an 18650, but it doesn't. Oh well, no biggie - at least it came with batteries.
I also bought a Fenix HL55 headlamp - very nice! A super bright, neutral white 900 lumen beam, and it uses an 18650. The only drawback is it's a little heavy, since the housing is aluminum, not plastic.

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I've wanted a CZ27 for a while, decided a couple weeks ago to buy one.
I normally don't collect natzy stuff but I make an exception for occupied firearms.
Won at auction, came in today.
Stopped at a local shop to get a pair of bigger grips for the 686, got these Pachmayr ones which I don't like the looks of but fit my hand much better than the little Hogue ones it came with.
As an employee and I are talking about the grips I see a used .38 in the case and have a look at it for my daughter possibly.
Another customer hears us and I see him walk out.
He comes back in and hands me this box of Winchester ammo, said he just sold his .38 and the shop didn't want the ammo, said "here, just take it, I can't use it"
On top of that my silver arrived as did my trigger guards and more pink parts for my daughter.
