Gun show finds:
540 rnds Chinese 7.62x39 on strippers in a 50cal can.
50 rnds of GP11 and a stripper clip.

While toting the can around a seller asked if I was interested in an SKS, I have to go look at it tomorrow.
He said it's a beat up Chinese, but the price is definitely right if it's in any kind of shootable shape.

The can had the contents written on the lid, another seller asked if I was selling or buying when I propped it up on his table to look at his ammo and reloading stuff.
I said I just bought it, have some AKs and SKSs to feed.
He asked if I was looking for another and the conversation turned to him bringing it tomorrow.

I'll find out tomorrow.
Nice thing is they give you a ticket to get in free on Sunday so no additional cost to check out the stuff tomorrow.
One guy had a police trade 229 in .40 for $400, I might try to beat him up a few bucks if the SKS doesn't pan out.

Soviet 1976 Makarov, Bulgarian "sneak", with two numbers-matching magazines. Still has cosmoline inside. Needs a good clean-up then a function test. Also found a period-correct leather Red Army holster.

I bought this nice looking K Kale Turkish Mauser. I don't really know much about Mausers so if any of you wiser folk want to share some of your knowledge I would appreciate it. All of it's numbers match but there is no number on the bolt. There is a place however where it looks like a serial number was scrubbed out.

The SKS I went back to look at was a total bust, a commercial made one with military parts, total mismatch and the monkey wood stock was "improved" by Bubba who owns stock in a sandpaper company...

So instead I picked up a CZ52 w/some ammo included, a $205 OTD Ruger, $5 boxes of 8mm, an LCP mag, 130 pcs of .357 brass, and from a guy looking to dump inventory at his small shop, two boxes of bullets and a pound of powder for $60.
I got a lead on an SKS "paratrooper", still NIB and a dozen Chinese flatback mags.
Today I got in free so only a couple bucks in gas...
