My initial opinion is that found yourself a very nice hard to find commercial Cowboys Companion which is missing it's cleaning rod. I would be interested in seeing and and all markings on the receiver.

A few things I just realized if it were a CC the left side should be drilled and tapped for a mount or have the scope mount in place so I think my initial info is wrong. Previous owner may have cut down a standard commercial model to 16.5" neutered the FSB and reblued and added it back on. Either way its a nice looking rifle and if the price was right then who's better then you.

Doesn't appear to cut down, but who knows. And as I looked closer, you can see where the lug was taken off - fairly faint. Like you said though, I like it, so anytime I can pick up a clean neat gun under 4 bills, I'm good ! Thanks!

It was very expensive this past few days...

    Just HAD to get one...
Its suprisingly hard to find these Lipsy's Exclusive Sig P220 in 10mm with standard sight with two tone finish...

Oh, and I decided its time for me to get in to long distance shooting...
So I got Savage 10 BA Stealth with Light Aluminum chases in 6.5Creedmoor

And now I'm finding out that the scope for long range shooting is stupid expensive...

Those are great, I grab one every now and then from Amazon. I with there was an option for a foam lining.

It was a pointy-object sort of week. A couple small Bark Rivers and a ESEE-4 I couldn't pass up (my 3rd). I love good deals on lightly used knives.

You could probably pick up some pick and pluck foam in the appropriate size from Uline or Amazon.
I never considered foam but your comment piqued my interest, might look into it.
