    Default What make is this

Need some help from the gurus on this forum.

I sold a 1911 compact (3.5" bbl) a little over 3 years ago and would like to buy the same model and make back but I forgot the name of the manufacturer. Here are some pics and maybe someone can tell me what it is........somewhere in the back of my mind I keep thinking "Llama" but I'm not sure about it. I know that when I bought it I paid $260 for it at A&S in Youngwood.

When I first saw it, I thought Llama Max or Mini Max with different grips and mag ??? I'm going to poke around a bit. I thought most later model Llama's had "Llama and Mini Max or Max on the slide though? Here's one of mine, looks close, but slide has name on it ??? I don't think any Llama's came with the slotted triggers - could be aftermarket too. Maybe an ATI ?

I think LLama has an external extractor, brother had one.
    Maybe Citadel?

i have no idea what gun that is but if you're looking for a inexpensive 1911 with a short barrel checkout the ATI line of 1911's. there's a shop in my area that carries them and they look like well built guns and i've read a few good things about them.

Well I did some research and I did find what I was looking for on another forum.

It is a Charles Daly ECS compact in 45acp with a 3.5" bbl.

    Thanks for the help guys

Look out for the ATI's. While they look good they have had a lot of trigger, feed, and eject problems. They have a 9MM that lookedgood and I started checking them out. Cheap and not well made.

charles daly went out of business about two years ago so if you want another ECS you're going to have to find one used.
