Default Where does your revolver fit in your outfit?

Where does your revolver fit in your outfit? Once upon a time when I thought about hunting out or spending sometime in my tent in the dark for a couple of days I'd take my 22LR, 12 gauge shotgun, 06 and my 357/44mag. Now days when I play the games that men play it seems to be one of my autos 9mm, 40 cal or 45acp. Semi auto have gained the reliability of the revolver it seems.

I still like my revolvers they use to dominate my handgun collection now I only have two a King Cobra and a 686 the other 15-17 handguns are semi autos. Yeah I like guns, I explain that to my 2nd wife sometimes.

Whats your experience? How many revolvers did you own and how many do you own now?

Got four. A Smith .500 and .460, neither of which I really need, but wanted. Got a Tracker .44 and a 9 shot .22 mag, as well. The .44 sees most of the backpack time when hunting, mostly because it will stop anything I need to stop here in Fl, and it doesn't require me to throw on a set of ear muffs while a bear or alligator, or black tip shark, for that matter, is deciding whether or not I would make a great snack.

I have 8 revolvers and about 20 autos . I find that in the fall I go into revolver mood but come spring I go back to autos . I was not born in the revolver days but I did turn 21 during the CLINTON CAPACITY MAG DAYS so when I started carrying it was 10 round for autos or 6 for the revolvers . Capacity sells guns now of days for most of the new shooters not a real a big deal for me now

My favorite revolver is Ruger by far they can be loaded mild to wild ,I love some HOT 44 in a black hawk and black powder 45 colt is just a blast to shoot love the Smokey smell and the filthy soot it leaves on the gun

My next revolver to get maybe for Christmas is a Smith and Wesson 617 because 22lr is my drug of choice an the smiths are just dam pretty

I only own one revolver (S&W 442) but I absolutely love it. I do plan on carrying it come winter, but for now I still rely on my Glock 27 as my everyday carry.

I own 3, but I think revolvers are growing on me big time now that I got my 686. I also have a Ruger SP101 and and a S&W 642.

Like I said though, the revolver bug has bitten me and my next purchase will be either a S&W 617 or a S&W 629. Would like both, but they're so expensive.

My son just bought a Ruger Redhawk .44 mag. with a 7" barrel that will be his backpack gun. It is actually more accurate at 50 yards than any revolver I own. Very impressive revolver. Build quality is every bit as good as the S&W. JMHO
