Opinions on the kel-tec sub 2000
I just learned of this sweet little gun a few days ago... Never heard of one or seen one... Seems like a neat little toy! I like the fact you can fold it up in a jiffy! Also very Adaptable on what mags it takes... So Question is... How is it?
Anyone have one? Shoot one? Hold one??? Worth getting?
Thanks!

I have one in 9mm that uses S&W 59 series mags. Great little gun for the money, but don't pay the $400+ some are asking for them.
If ya get near Bushkill let me know, ya can have a peak.

Great gun, get teh variant that uses the mags you already have for a pistol, cant go wrong. Felt recoil is sharp as the bolt is very heavy and slams back. Shooting in winter gives a nice slap to the cheek. Both are issues that can be solved very easy. Customer service is great.
Would recommend to anyone that wants a nice inexpensive folding carbine.

I have a Sub2K in 9mm Glock and love it. It's a great small gun and fun to shoot. If you have the chance to pick one up, I would do it in a heartbeat.

I considered getting one for a while. Looked around for a good bit, but just couldn't bring myself to pay the money for it. I was looking for a "trunk gun", and while it's appealing because it folds, I went a completely different route for that plan.

Re: Opinions on the kel-tec sub 2000
I have owned three of them. reliable fun and accurate. It will shoot 3 inch groups at 100 yards with the factory sights. 9mm will get you cheaper fun and a small velocity gain. The 40 caliber has more energy and gains more from the longer barrel. The front hand guard is ugly and not needed.
Take it off and wrap barrel with leather or para cord. The whole gun becomes less ugly and alot smaller. You can carry it in a lap top case, or even a hydration back pack. very stealthy. Another reason to buy it is that the Feds want to outlaw it. Another reason to buy one is if you travel alot and go thru states that don't allow handguns or mags bigger than 10 rounds. Your motor home should have one of these a bunch of 10 round mags. zzzzombies beware.Teaching people how to shoot safely and accurately for 54 years. www.gunskills.com

Re: Opinions on the kel-tec sub 2000
Shot a friend's 9mm and was not impressed. It was reliable. Sights, stocks, general execution are all crude. It's a cheap way into a pistol caliber carbine, especially if you buy one that takes pistol magazines you already own.
I voted OK gun for the money.
