Default Non-Federal "National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act Of 2011" Introduced

Congressmen Cliff Stearns (R-FL) and Heath Shuler (D-NC) introduced vital legislation that will enable millions of permit holders to exercise their right to self-defense while traveling outside their home states.

H.R. 822 would solve this problem by requiring lawfully issued carry permits be recognized, while protecting the ability of various states to determine areas where carrying is prohibited within their boundaries.

The bill would not create a federal licensing system; rather, it would require the states to recognize each others' carry permits, just as they recognize driver's licenses [and] armored car guards.

Rep. Stearns has introduced similar legislation since 1995.

Well lets hope that this gets going, but I doubt it. The congress critters will vote on how they feel now how the people they supposedly represent feel.

As long as the Feds have NOTHING to do with it I go along with it as long as its sane. All the Feds do is screw us over pretending to do us good. They could not run a soda shop. If you need to ask what a soda shop was your to young and missed out.

The feds took over a Brothel near Vegas. They ran it for a while and couldn't make a profit selling sex and booze.

Step 1: Non Federal reciprocity law is passed.

Step 2: New York and New Jersey complain to the federal government that PA requirements are not stringent enough.

Step 3: Non Federal reciprocity law is amended. Federal licenses with stricter requirements are issued to allow for interstate reciprocity, though individual state licenses still exist.

Step 4: Pennsylvania, in an effort to cut expenses from the budget, does away with the PA LTCF, stating that the same rights and privileges of the UFA will be recognized for all federal license holders.

Step 5: Pennsylvania gun rights are now forfeited to the federal government.

Don't support this trash. It's a gateway to federal regulation and will be hijacked the moment that the libs have a chance to get their hands on it.
