Default Help me out .. Next 9mm or 40 cal Purchase

Been working some overtime and stashed a few bucks away .. Lately been shooting my Sig P239 great pistol and really enjoy shooting it .. Looking to add to my small handgun collection .. Any thoughts ? Opinions ? Pistols I should check out ? .. I am looking to CC with the pistol also .. Been to the shop and had hands on with the Ruger Sr9c and Walther P99

    Funds .. 300.00 to 700.00

    Caliber .. 9mm or 40

On the hit list ... Ruger SR9C .. Walther P99

    Any other Sig's recommended ?

    Thanks Brian

glock 26, M&P9c, HK P2000SK, and the Khar CM9 are all great options. There are so many more too. The small gun market has really blown up these few years.

I have the Kahr PM9 and love it. I shot my friends CM9 and it feels exactly the same, but costs less (though I still like the little differences in the PM9). Very easy to CC.

I love the look of the Kimber Solo, but have heard some mixed reviews.
HAS THE WHOLE WORLD GONE CRAZY? AM I THE ONLY ONE HERE WHO GIVES A SH!T ABOUT THE RULES?

I don't know why anyone would buy a Ruger SR9C. They just seem so vanilla to me, like Ruger had to have a horse in that category, so they just turned something out.

A P99 on the other hand would be a great addition.
Selling off a a sizeable Spyderco collection here

    Hi Brian,

I know it's not the easiest thing to obtain, but you may want to take a good, long look at a P-07 Duty, by CZ. Compact, polymer frame, available in both 9mm and 40S&W, and an added bonus-- it is set up with a de-cocker, but, with just a 2-minute procedure, you can change it to a manual safety.

I have an SP-01 by CZ (full-size steel service model) and absolutely LOVE IT!

Guns and Ammo Handguns magazine current issue has a shootout with some of the most popular small 9mm (Kahr, Ruger LC9, EMP, Solo, P290). You might want to check that out. I found it to be pretty informative.

I also find the Taurus 709 to be reliable, easy to shoot (once you figure out the trigger), and super easy to carry, in addition to being super cheap. YMMV on that one as some folks have had issues.

I am always in favor of 9mm for small carry for the extra round and shootability. If I was going to up-caliber from 9mm, I would go to an officers size .45, but some folks seem to love .40.
    Stay frosty....
