Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine Law Takes Effect

August 27, House Bill 40 takes effect. This NRA-backed Castle Doctrine legislation was signed by Governor Tom Corbett on June 28.

Introduced by state Representative Scott Perry (R-92), HB 40 would permit law-abiding citizens to use force, including deadly force, against an attacker in their home and any place outside of their home where they have a legal right to be. It would also protect individuals from civil lawsuits by the attacker or the attacker’s family when force is used.

The timing could not be better. I'll sleep a little easier this weekend knowing I have yet another legal protection from any fallout from Irene...if there is any.

Excellent, maybe we should all celebrate by grabbing our AKs, standing out front of our houses, and shooting straight up in the air like its New Year's Eve. Of course I'm kidding. But these are the kinds of images the antis are probably dreaming about right now. Instead of counting sheep, they count all the “innocent” lives lost as a result of “illegal guns” and Wild West mentality in our society.
