LTCF renewal

Hey folks not sure if im in the right place to post but
I am going to renew my LTCF In Philly I noticed the form says the fee is $20?
last time I paid 30 I think and then they sent me a letter after getting my licensee I had to pay more. Is $20 the correct amount or will they tell me something else when I get there?
Also MY LTCF expires in Sept 22 will they confiscate my current license If I apply before it expires or will i just have to give it to them at a latter time?

$20 total is now the correct fee as of earlier this year.

The usual process is that the renewal takes effect immediately, not when the old one expires.

I don't know if Philly will take your expiring LTCF or not.

Don't go down early .. They will turn you away .. They been sending out cards when it is time to re-up .. A buddy of mine went down early and they told him to wait for the card in the mail .. Sure enough he got it ..... But if you are getting close ... Drop them a call ..

Thanks for the info I'm up Sept 22 was hoping to go early as to not have a gap between expiration and getting a new one

Your expiring one is good under 6106(b)(12) and under 6108(2) for six months after it expires.

(f) Term of license.--
(1) A license to carry a firearm issued under subsection (e) shall be valid throughout this Commonwealth for a period of five years unless extended under paragraph (3) or sooner revoked.
(2) At least 60 days prior to the expiration of each license, the issuing sheriff shall send to the licensee an application for renewal of license. Failure to receive a renewal application shall not relieve a licensee from the responsibility to renew the license.
