Oh, You mean it was the 325th to be manufactured. Wow my Dad bought early. At the same time he bought a Winchester 62A, it is also sweet!

I realize I am being long winded here but I collect these fine rifles. Note that Sako was the only manufactureer that could stand up to the FN requirements. Sako did not produce finished rifles for FN.
The medallion and Olympian Grades followed in 1960.
If you want any more info as to production date or ? send me an IM.

Early on, were there bolt action rifles made in Belgium for Browning that were sold in Europe and were not marked as being a Browning? I have one that is chambered in .338 Winchester that, in all respects, appears to be a Browning, including the stock and bolt release, however, having taken the action out of the stock I can not find Browning anywhere on the metal or wood. Many thanks to anyone who may have an answer, or information, regarding my question.

Hi, new to the forum, and like many I have a question. Have a Browning Safari 30-06 serial L22. Wondering the value. It is well used(killed many moose, as I am in Alaska), but not abused. Thanks Bob.

Really would have to see some photos to give any kind of figure. Could be as low as $400.00 depending on wear and tear.

FN manufactured firearms for their own retail market. Look pretty much like a Browning. Usually different checkering patterns.

    Jeff, (Pukingdog),

I would like to know more about the FN 243 years 1960-1962. Serial # 12XXX. I hope you are still on line.

    Charles,

I really need to see some photos. The rifle could be produced by Sako (Sako action) or FN. Can not tell you more. Also, the serial number should have a letter before or possibly after the number.
