Is this show just historical arms or is a regular gun show. Is it a good show price wise?

I heard this wasn't a bad show; not the largest, but not bad. However, I had a bad experience at the last one. The flyers for the show -- posted at every gun shop -- said the show on Sunday was upon until 2pm for the public, 3pm for the exhibitors. Well, my wife and I drove over an hour to get the show, arrived at 1pm, but were turned away at the door by the constable on duty. Apparently, someone decided to close the doors early. There were still a lot of people inside, but they weren't letting anyone else in. I was livid, to say the least. I normally work on Sunday and planned my whole day around reaching the show in time (I worked that morning), and the day was shot. The show lost the $7 admissions fee they would have rec'd from both my wife and I, and I had a $1,000 in my pocket looking to buy a new gun. Their loss, I suppose, and I don't think I'll be too eager to make another trip to this show in the future.

To answer the member's inquiry about Donations at the door. That is often done by non profit organizations because a donation is not subject to state sales tax. An entry fee is.

It benefits the non profit organization, saves the public money, and get them in quicker without the problem of making change for each person.
