While I was watching that episode, I Googled '20mm lahti ammo' and the very first search result had them in stock. I didn't even search any further.

What is particularly tearful is that prior to 1967-68, you could pick up almost any copy of "Popular Mechanics" or "Mechanix Illustrated" or "Mens" and find an ad buried in there for a mail-order Lahti on a ski-mount with ammo - deliverable to your door.

but how can a shop full of guys not know where to buy ammo?? they acted like they had to hand make the brass for the 20mm they shot last night. there are plenty of 20mm rounds for sale on gunbroker and im sure other places. more drama for TV i suppose...

Well yeah the 20x138B Long Solothurn used in the Lahti has been obsolete for a long time and there was a guy (Brashco Brass) making brass on a lathe, but when the price of brass jumped up about five years ago he stopped making the cases. BTW those probably were reloads because they were topped with Vulcan blue tips and chances are Brashco might have parted with those rounds so they could fire the gun on the show.

It's hard to google for stuff when you spell everything with a southern accent.

I couldn't even make out they were saying Lahti for the longest time. I didn't recognize the gun and thought they said Maadi each time.

Did any else think it's fucking stupid to put a non-lethal and a lethal weapon together? What happens in the heat of things, the guy thinks he's pulling the trigger on the tazer and drops the guy with a 12gauge slug? That thing seemed more like an fugly liability than something actually useful.

I will say that I enjoyed watching them mess around with the 20mm; that is a gun worth working on. The desert eagle stock? Not so much. I also don't understand why they are trying to inject soap opera bullshit into what is supposed to be a show about...wait for it....GUNS.

Pretty much. The show is stupid, and insulting, but I still find it entertaining and I like to watch it.
