What is particularly tearful is that prior to 1967-68, you could pick up almost any copy of "Popular Mechanics" or "Mechanix Illustrated" or "Mens" and find an ad buried in there for a mail-order Lahti on a ski-mount with ammo - deliverable to your door.

    To your door.

Now a single live 20mm round is a "destructive device".

Thank You 1960's radicalism for fucking up this nation forever and always.

Sure hope your'e "feeling groovy" "doin' watchawannado" as "it's yo thang".

Well yeah the 20x138B Long Solothurn used in the Lahti has been obsolete for a long time and there was a guy (Brashco Brass) making brass on a lathe, but when the price of brass jumped up about five years ago he stopped making the cases. BTW those probably were reloads because they were topped with Vulcan blue tips and chances are Brashco might have parted with those rounds so they could fire the gun on the show.

Yes, I do have a Lahti and know what it takes to keep them going!

And yeah, drama is the main focus of that show.

I couldn't even make out they were saying Lahti for the longest time. I didn't recognize the gun and thought they said Maadi each time.

Did any else think it's fucking stupid to put a non-lethal and a lethal weapon together? What happens in the heat of things, the guy thinks he's pulling the trigger on the tazer and drops the guy with a 12gauge slug? That thing seemed more like an fugly liability than something actually useful.
That was the first thing I said to the wife and she wholeheartedly agreed. It's fucking stupid. You've got a young rookie cop who's nervous as shit and accidentally pulls the wrong trigger.

Well known AK builder. Has a huge space with CNC machines. The show is scripted - obviously.

I will say that I enjoyed watching them mess around with the 20mm; that is a gun worth working on. The desert eagle stock? Not so much. I also don't understand why they are trying to inject soap opera bullshit into what is supposed to be a show about...wait for it....GUNS.

Maybe the producers have read PAFOA and figure that's what discussions about guns is supposed to be like?

Pretty much. The show is stupid, and insulting, but I still find it entertaining and I like to watch it.

The dude is on UT and he actually seems like a pretty cool guy.
