    Default Horseback riding

Does anyone know where you can go horseback riding in or near Lower Bucks Co ? Maybe somewhere in the Langhorne/Newtown area ?

Yep, I sure do. Go out Swamp Road past the college. About a mile or so after BCCC, right at the curve, just past the Tyler Park Scofield Bridge entry is a riding stable with horses to rent. Last time I was there it was $25 an hour. They used to let you just go out on your own but last time I was there they had a group of us ride together with an employee leading the way. If you do get the chance to go it on your own, at the bridge veer to the left and go right into the creek. Head on an angle downstream and you'll find a very nice trail that only a few use. The horses are used to their usual path and if not promted to go past the bridge will head straight for the bridge. The tourist route. The other way is much nicer.

I was going to suggest that. I see horses there all the time. I believe nockamixon was rated the nicest state park in the country.
I'll vote for Romney when he promises not to run in 2016.

    Hey! Long time no see.

I always feel bad for the rental horses. Never the same rider, many riders without a clue, riders who want to ride like the pony express, and just plain old mean people. I always bring carrots and/or apples just to help make my introduction to the animal. Rub it a bit, let it know me a little.

One of our lottery dreams here is a nice piece of land where a few horses can have a relaxed life. Cheryl grew up with her own horses and would love to have that life again. I can certainly see the benefits of that.

Right now there is a beautiful property empty and for sale in Upper Makefield. I guess at least 10 acres (hard to tell the line, woods at the edge of the cleared land) with a very nice cinderblock stable.

Yep long time no see on the board, between work and how this board has taken a nose dive I rarely come here now.
Your wife still ride?? I might be looking for a riding buddy. I have been so busy with work I hardly ride anymore. Mostly CLEAN UP after them. There's a new barn and indoor arena (I think private) off of Forestgrove Rd. (I think its on that road, I see it on the way to the prison). THAT is what I'd love to have.
