    Default Ruger P95

A local gun shop has one of these for $290 brand new and everything I've read speaks very highly of the gun . . . so why then is it priced so low? I think I'm going over on Saturday to purchase it. Thanks

Definitely check it out. Mine was $310 NIB; I've seen them online for $300.

I only got it this past Saturday, haven't been to the range yet. I like the look and feel of it and it is easy to operate and take down for cleaning.

I just picked one up a couple of weeks ago. It's a solid gun & I've had zero problems with it after about 500rnds. The accuracy is decent but I find the grip to be a bit wide(I have medium/small hands) & the trigger has a bit of play in it. As stated above, it's a breeze to break down & clean & I like that it has a decocker. That being said, I might end up selling mine. IMO you might want to check out the SR9 if you're all about the Ruger, or at least find a place where you can try out the P95 first. I've rented a XDM & M&P & I can definitely see an improvement in my shooting. I'm probably gonna get an M&P but am gonna rent the SR9 before I do. Ruger makes good reliable guns, just keep in mind that you're gonna get a $300 dollar gun. If that's your price range, then I say go for it, you won't regret it. But if you want something that's gonna tear out the X-ring then I say don't impulse shop & save for something better.

I've been shooting Rugers for almost 45 years and have never had a bad one. No, they are not 10 shots to the X ring every time. But they shoot every time. Good US made gun at a fair price. Not a work of art but a work horse of a gun.
