Firearm rental for new shooters
My GF and I are very interested in learning to shoot and become responsible gun owners. We were all set to go to AA but I found this site first and after reading reviews we nixed trhat idea. We want to give PMSC a try but as stated we are very new and neither of us own firearms. Can anyone reccomend a range that rents firearms? And gives safety classes.

The two ranges in the "Greater" Pittsburgh area that have range rentals are:
Anthony Arms (West Mifflin) & A&S Indoor Range (Youngwood)
Both have NRA classes.Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

You might want to try and get hooked up with one of the PMSC/PAFOA group shoots. I have never been but I understand there are many folks that will help you out and give you the opportunity to fire their guns. Get details here:

Re: Firearm rental for new shooters
Thanks to all for the info. I will definitely be checking out PMSC. I will also check out A&S. Anthony Arms has not been getting the best reviews so I will steer clear.
Thanks again

Re: Firearm rental for new shooters
Check out http://www.commonsensemma.com/, 724-473-1500, info@CSMMA.com. Its a bit out of the way in Cranberry but I felt it was worth it.
I took my NRA Basic Pistol course through them. You go to class for a day over the weekend and then they schedule a time for you to go shooting later that week. They provided the firearms if you don't have one.
