Default Where is the search function?

It might just be old age catching up with me, but I can't find the search tool on this forum. I could have swore I just used it yesterday...
    Can someone help me out?

Thanks, but that's not the search I've always used. I tried using the one under the banner and it was next to pointless. I gave up and chose to scroll through every page intead because that seemed more efficient. Is there a way to get back to the old search page that allows me to do an advance search?

I have it bookmarked, but it also appears at the top when you click the "New Posts" Link.

Streaker69 - that's the page I was looking for. Thank you!

But didn't there used to be a more direct way to get to it? I swear I just used the search two days ago to find a thread I started so I could check on the discussion. Then I checked in yesterday to mark my ad as "sold" in the classifieds and my searching ability was gone.

And a thought for the mods while we're discussing it... every month on every online gun forum there is a new guy who comes along and starts a 1911 vs Glock, Glock vs. SIG, AK vs. AR, or some other discussion that's been had a thousand times already.
People then chime in and tell the new guy to use the search function next time instead of starting a pointless thread.
But if the search function is hidden or of no real help...
Just a thought (because I think the old search is way better and should be readily accessible).

Also, to those who are looking for it, you can also find it by going down to the forum jump at the bottom of the page, clicking on it, and scrolling almost to the top. I just found that by accident, but it's still not really intuitive unless you already knew it was there.

I do believe if Dan wanted to he could put the Search in the banner right next to New Posts. MD Shooters is pretty much the same software and they made a similar change to the banner...and in fact they do have the Search in that banner.

If you know which specific forum to look in you can use the search near the top of the page in that forum. Click on "Search This Forum" or if you happen to be in the thread you think you want to find a post in, click on "Search This Thread". That will give you the option for "Advanced Search".

A more direct way to access advanced search would be great, if it's there I don't know about it. This is probably why there has been so much complaining about the search function being nearly useless. The advanced search actually works pretty well once you find it and figure out how to use it.

I don't have a short temper, I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.
