Gun Safe: New Sturdy Safe Arrives
I can now start to increase the number of firearms I have with more piece of mind and protect all my bonds and other important papers from theft and fire.
After looking for a year at Browning, Liberty, Fort Knox, Amsec, and Sturdy; I purchased a Sturdy Safe.
As advertised it was a heavy fireproof safe that had a very tight door fit that can't be slammed as it take a couple seconds for the air to swoosh out as the door shuts. The safe is no frills security that fit my use case to a tee.

Model 3627-6
OD 36"W 27 "D 72 "H (Add 1.5"D For Handle)
ID W/Fire- 31"W 22"D 64"H
Door Thickness- 5/16"
Body Thickness- 7 Gauge
Guns W/Fire, #2 Standard Rack- 26
Cubic Foot- 40.5
Weight W/Fire- 1085 lb.
I contacted them by phone and the price they quoted me was less than the price on the website.
The safe is now in the basement. I had it picked up at the trucking terminal in Harrisburg and delivered to my basement by Shearer Locksmith, Inc. Watching them work to get the safe from their trailer and into place affirmed that the $328 they charged was well worth it.NRA Life Member. OC is comfy!

Nice safe...and well worth watching someone else wrestle with it for that price.
When I moved I had 4 friends help me move mine, they all said don't call them if I move again.

I got the same one, recommended it to 2 friends and they bought different models from Sturdy. Just a simple tough safe, not as pretty as my Amsec but every bit as tough it seems. Good choice!
