Bitten by the Revolver Bug Again: S&W 28-2
Today's trade resulted in this:
A S&W 28-2 Highway Patrolman. Made in 1980, as best I can tell. Worn for sure, but not abused. Mechanically, it seems sound. Other than the finish, the gun was very well maintained/cleaned. I figure if it served someone well since then, it's probably gonna keep on doing so.

Gotta love guns with a story. May I ask what you traded for it?

Certainly. This is one of those "I'm not a very smart shopper, but I ended up with something I'd rather have" stories.
I picked up a used CZ P-07 about 2 weeks ago. I'd been considering one off and on for awhile, and finally went for it. Took it to the range twice. Nice gun.
When I saw the 28-2 at the shop on Saturday for $299, I checked it out, and knew I had to have it. Not being in a position to add another gun to the collection right now, it came down to "what's in the safe that's not really blowing me away?". It was the just-purchased P-07. So, I ended up taking a bit of a hit on the CZ, but walked out with this. It's definitely got more character.
Now, that's it. Nothing else I have is getting traded. I'm happy. Nope, don't need any more guns. ROTFL!"I don't care what went wrong. I beat the snot out of it until it works" - Clint Smith

The N frame is a big frame gun it should still have a lot of life in it. Unless they shot a lot of super hot reloads in it the N frame should still be GTG.
