    Default Kimber Gold Match II?

My dealer got a Stainless Kimber Gold Match II in that I was looking at over the weekend. One of the nicest pistols I think I've ever held. The trigger will drop the hammer just by you thinking about it it is done so well and they are supposed to have a 1" at 25yds gaurantee due to the heavy match barrel and bushing. The only downside I see is the $1250 price tag! Does anyone know if they are worth the pricetag? I know 1911 stye pistols can get much more expensive than that but that would be the most expensive pistol I have ever purchased and I don't know if its worth doing. Can anyone help me out here? Either talk me out of it or talk me into it?

I own a few kimbers, and although you will have plenty of people disagreeing as to why it is or it isnt worth buying....go with what your budget allows you. If you can afford this pistol and not have to sweat about ammo, then go ahead. If not, go with something less expensive and have the opportunity to shoot the crap out of it with tons of ammo. Its nice having a nice pistol, but when you dont want to shoot it because of the cost of ammo, yikes!! BTW this is a freaken awesome pistol!!!

From my experience, all Kimbers shoot the same.....TIGHT.

You can get groups like that out of a Kimber at half the cost.

The bushing barrels are all the same profile......the bull barrels can be fit looser than the bushing guns.

A drop in 3 lb trigger can be had for $150-$200.

That can be worth it to you...or not.
