Air guns
Hi,
Is it still illegal to hunt in PA with air guns? Does the caliber of an airgun ever qualify for extra restrictions above and beyond, say, a .177 BB gun? Is it legal to target shoot on public lands with air guns?
I searched, but couldn't find any recent posts about these. If they have been answered already, please point me in the right direction.
Thanks!

Re: Air guns
No air guns for legal hunting in PA. Don't know about target shooting on public land though,I would think if you're not trespassing,& you're being safe & it's not locally restricted you should be ok. We shoot airguns around here all the time & it doesn't seem to bother anyone because most people just look at it as a BB gun & we take precautions so our pellets don't go out of the yard

Re: Air guns
Laws and regulations vary from township to township on the use of air guns for target shooting. Last I heard it's still illegal to hunt with them. Some places allow them to be used on private property so long as you have a proper backstop so the bbs can't leave the property. Just look up the local township laws where you live.
