I'm taking my 3 grand daughters down to the Franklin Inst. I carry, so I called to see what there policy was. When I found out they are not carry friendly, I asked about a locker.
I didn't want to get there and not be able to get in. When you have kids at tow, things get upset quick.

When I have kids in tow, I am even more likely to be armed.

This is what "think of the children " should mean.

    LOL!

CCW is a wonderful thing...there are no metal detectors at the FI.

I was just there in April, with family, saw no signs and had no issues.

I was there last weekend to see the new Harry Potter film in full IMAX glory. (It was pretty freaking good).
    Since I don't have a wand, I figured I'd better CC.

I went with 2 others, and there were at least 4 guns between the 3 of us. No one said anything, saw anything, or cared.

I've been there many, many times over the last few years. I volunteered there in high school (Long live W3TKQ/W3AA!), and I've maintained a membership off and on for the last ~10 years).

Did you also ask about other lawful things such as carrying a knife, pack of smokes, maybe a pen in your pocket or even open toed shoes?

If I don't know the policy of a place I want to visit, I don't ask and just cc.
