    Default Home Theater Systems!

Are any of you into home theater setups? I know I am! I'd like to hear about your systems and maybe see some photos of your gear! I have a few old pics of mine, but I'll post some new ones soon!

Lets see and hear about what you got!

I have a small theater. But I mostly use it for my Xbox.
I wanted to get theater seating, but a support poll put an end to that. My wife put an end to the theater carpet

The Projector is a Sharp DT-500 which is HD. I run everything, except the Xbox, to it from one HDMI cable which is nice.

I use an Onkyo receiver to switch the inputs. I only went with 5.1 because at the time it was the best deal on a receiver that had HDMI switching. And I really don’t have a place to put the other speakers.

It's not the best setup, but I got such a good deal of the components...

I've been using my computer as a my home entertainment system for years now. Never bothered with cable, or any other type of TV programming since I left for college, and never got back into it after I graduated.

I have my monster/work/gaming computer, my PS3 and PS2 all running out of my 24'' LCD Dell screen. So PS3 for 1080p goodness and gaming, computer for work, internet and gaming (Crysis on high settings! Eat your heart out!), its everything I need/want in a tight package. I love it. And that LCD screen is just gorgeous!

Next time I upgrade, I'll be getting a new set of speakers. Probably 7.1, since PS3 supports it. But for now, I have a 4.1 system out of the PC, and a crazy, 260watt dual-sub-woofer stereo for PS2/3.

My system is fairly modest size wise but it does look and sound great! Here is my set up:

Sony 42" Rear Projection 3LCD HDTV
Dish Network DVR622 Digital Video Recorder hooked via HDMI to the HDTV
Sony 5.1 Surround Sound Receiver with 2 extra dual 10" sub towers
    Sony DVD Player
    Sony 5 disc CD Player
    Cyberhome DVD Recorder
Sony PS3 (for games and Blu-Ray DVD) hooked via HDMI to the HDTV
Sony Hi-Fi VHS (Haven't uesed it in over a year!)

Here are a few older pics, but it is still pretty much the same. The PS3 now resides in the bottom space below the other equipment and the DVR is now the new silver HD one (not the black one pictured)...

And this is the best seat in the house! Just don't sit on the guns! LOL

I'd rather stay home and watch movies than goto a theater any day!

No pictures, and nothing major, but here goes...

50" Samsung DLP (720p, last year of the 720p model )
    XBox 360
Onkyo 6.1 (hooked up 5.1) with a 10" powered sub

Sounds great, looks great, and as big and loud as I can go in my current place. Makes you hate going to a friends to watch TV or a movie, lol.

yeah I had a sony grand wega, well still do just in the game room but it always held up good no problems so I figured i'd go with sony again even though the picture honestly wasnt as impressive at the store as a couple of the others. But i'll tell you what when I plugged that thing in it blew away just about every other TV i'd seen, so they must really dim them and such trying to push other tv's out the door.
