Default Which states require notification if you're CCW?

The recent video from OhioCCW.org that is getting a lot of buzz has me wondering which states "do" require notification or informing.

Through some searches on the forum here, and Google, I figured out (anecdotally) that PA doesn't require you to notify an alleged police officer you're carrying. Whether or not you "should" notify out of courtesy is another topic beyond the scope of my question.

I'm curious if there's something more official than "Bob123 on the forum says you don't have to inform" that youns can't point me to. I'm also curious about which states "do" require you to inform in some sort of subjectively quick manner.

I'm not aware of a list, but poke around here, you may have to go state-by-state... http://www.handgunlaw.us/

Just off the top of my head, OH, OK, Texas*, Nebraska, MI, and AK. I'm sure there are others but I know of those from my recent road trip (and AK because of Alaska state troopers).

*In Texas you must hand over your permit only if asked for ID as far as I'm aware.

After further research both Carolinas, Arkansas, and LA also require it. Still looking...

OK... just found this for quick reference...

Then I guess you could go back to handgunlaw and verify.

I searched all over for it, finally a Google-search pointed to a S&W forum, some guy had it up on a related thread. Right-click, save-as, and here we are. Sure looks like the work of handgunlaw, but I can't find it on their site.

It looks identical to the handgunlaw maps. Wonder why they don't have one of those maps. It could come in handy. For my trip I had to look up each state individually.

I have it saved as a Word doc for quick reference...but in this case I'm already too late...

AK, AR, LA, MI, NC, NE, OH, OK, SC, TX

TX removed the penalty for not informing, but the law itself is still on the books.
