    Default Full Size .45 ACP???

I have a full size M&P9 and a CW9 that i carry and now am looking for a .45. I love my M&P so an M&P45 would be the natural choice but I wanna check out a few different pistols. Ill be using this gun at the range and for HD and want something hi-cap. i know people are going to respond go to the range and try some out which i plan on doing but until then is there any suggestions?

I don't like Glocks personally (though I admit they are good firearms) but you could look at the Glock 21. I believe it holds 13.

I don't like Glocks either not that I don't think that they're quality firearms because they obviously are but i just cant seem to get a comfortable grip on them.

My thoughts as well. I know they're not hi cap, but I've never shot a firearm as comfortable as my Colt 1911. If you've never shot one I'd give one a try.

Take a look at the HK 45. You could also go with a 1911 and buy 10 round mags. 10 plus 1 in .45 acp ain't bad.

Wouldn't a 1911 10 round single stack be a bit long and reduce you CC ability?

    Full size .45?

    High cap you say?

How's 15+1... ambi everything, and a non-tree trunk sized grip... (It is a little blocky though)

    FNP 45 USG

You can get them in black/FDE, all black, or raw SS, and black. Just picked one up myself. Fuggin' LOVE IT. Accurate, good SA trigger, decocker and DA mode if you prefer. Or Can be carried cocked and locked like a 1911. But weighs less than a steel 1911 and carries DOUBLE the ammo. Also, recoil? None. My G26 is snappier. It's like shooting a pillow.

    Again...

    15+1 .45acp!

But, it's big. And loaded with 16rds of .45 it's heavy. I too was/is in the market for a 1911. But after getting this, the need subsided considerably.

Certainly, however the OP indicated this would be a range and HD gun.
