Which Aug 13/14 gunshow are you going to?

So there are TWO gun shows on the 13th and 14th of August in Monroeville... which are you going to?

Showmasters = Expomart
C+E = Convention Center

First off I thought they closed the Expomart 3 years ago and turned it into offices. Second, who are the brain trusts that decided to have competing fricking shows on the same days 100' from each other? Seriously, you can throw a rock and hit the Convention Center from <what used to be> the Expo.

I'm likely to go to at least one of these... but now I have to pick. Paying $16 seems a bit much plus double the walking. Ugh. If I pick the shittier show I'll feel even more like a tool.

People are bashing the Showmaster deal pretty hard in the Events board, and the C+E thread just went up. I went to the last Showmaster in Monroeville and I can't say I blame them. It was about half bullshit tables full of... bullshit. I also went to the Tarentum show, which didn't have those tables... but also didn't have a whole lot of anything. I did manage to find a couple solid dealers at that show, though that was probably circumstantial because IIRC there were about the same amount of "real" firearm tables at both shows.

Input? Try to avoid unspecific bashing, especially if it's been covered in the event post. But no need to hold back. I'm also curious what the dealers think of the whole deal. If I were setting up at a show I sure as hell wouldn't want to split traffic, nor pay for tables/staffing at both.
