    Default .40 or .45 USP?

I'm going out to TargetMaster this weekend to buy a new pistol, I'm getting a full size USP, I'm deciding on either .40 or .45, any thoughts?

I really like .40 round and I know the P2000sk .40 shoots like a dream.

Both are great rounds. Some find the .40 to be "snappier" than they would prefer.

Do you reload either of these rounds? Do you own any other .40s or .45s so you only have to buy one round? Do you foresee yourself buying another gun in one of these calibers down the road? IE a 1911 in .45?

    For me..

The .45 is a much better round.

I can shoot it with more accuracy.

    Not to mention.. 1911's :P

Both are great rounds but if you already have a .45 you may want to stick with that so ammo is common between guns or you may just want something different. It's really personal taste. Have you ever shot a .40? Try one if you can to see which you prefer.

Then to me, it's purety personal selection and something only you can decide for yourself. Is there any way you can shoot both of the guns and get a feel for each caliber in that particular firearm?
