    Default North Side Sportsmen's Association?

Anyone a member here? The range is right down the road from me (literally 5 minutes away and I can hear them shoot) and I'm looking for somewhere safer and less crowded to shoot at.

About a year late - but I am a member over there, and also live within earshot of the range. Shoot me a PM if you're still looking to get in.

Just a heads up for those lookin to get involved with this club. My dad was a good standing member at this club for around 15 years. He was in years back when they were first getting the club building built. As a plumber he did most if not all (i dont fully recall) of the plumbing for what is now the main clubhouse, at no cost of labor to the club. I shot there many times and never had an issue.

However approx 5-6 years ago give or take a few, my dad went to pay his membership only to realize he was past the payment due date. Keep in mind he was still a current paid member in good standing for that year. He called whomever was in charge and they informed him that he would have to pay the initiation fee again because he missed the due date.

All this while he was still a paid current member who was allowed to use the facilities. As you can imagine he told them where to put their membership papers.

Not the kind of place for me, just wanted to share this with everyone who may get involved so they can make a better informed decision.

Rules are rules. I do a lot of work at the club myself and I still have to send in my dues ON TIME every year or I'll have to pay the initiation fee again.

I am Looking for a safe place to shoot. Is safety strictly enforced? I am mostly interested in pistol shooting, how are the facilities? How crowded does it get?

    Thanks for the help!
