Two years ago the federal government passed a law ostensibly aimed at preventing violent hate crimes against LGBT people. Many gay conservatives, including me, said at the time of its passage that the law would do nothing to actually prevent hate crimes. After this weekend, I can now say firsthand that this law hasn’t stopped violent, bias-motivated crime.

Wow he was right a law written on paper means nothing! This guy is lucky that he went for his phone and them thinking he had a gun. What a shame that residents of DC can not protect themselves. He should have gone to the nearest place that was safe and called 911. Then these thugs may have been caught.
Aggies Coach Really ??? Take off the tin foil bro.

it is far worse to beat up a person because you dont like him than to beat him up because you want his money. how about just one law that says that you arent allowed to beat on other people?

Just as a warning, you might not want to try a google image search for "gay bicycle" with safe search turned off. The following is one of the less graphic examples of why.

I'll vote for Romney when he promises not to run in 2016.

The law already exists, the enforcement however, must take a back seat to chasing kid with joints and harassing legal gun owners.
