Tapco AK T6?
I have a Romania SAR 1 in standard wood furniture. The stock is simply too short for me and has never felt comfortable to shoot.
I am reading mixed reviews of the Tapco T6. Does anyone have experience with the T6 on an AK or other recommendations for an adjustable AK stock?

Re: Tapco AK T6?
I have the command arms adjustable buttstock on my wasr. I love it much more then my buddies wasr with the tapco stock. That thing is junk. Ther are about 5 or 6 places to attach a sling, battery compartment on the left side and a picatinny rail on the right side to attach their available cheek riser/pad.

Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

Personally, I'd get an adapter for your stamped receiver that allows you to mount AR stocks and pick which one you like best. I've never liked the Tapco furniture. YMMV......

Re: Tapco AK T6?
IMO, it depends on what your intentions on using the rifle are. If you just want to do some plinking or sitting on a bench at the range, the T6 may be a cheap fix to that uncomfortable LOP. However, if your plans are to use it in a carbine class where it's gunna see some abuse, or want the furniture to be as reliable as the rifle should be, I would steer clear of all TAPCO furniture. They have a tendency to break under stress. If your heart is set on putting an AR stock on your Kalashnikov then check out the VLTOR or EMA Tactical ak stock adapters and then you will be able to put on whatever well made(Magpul, etc.) AR style carbine stock you wish. If you want to keep an AK style stock on it then check out the NATO size ak furniture offered by K-VAR(longer than the standard War-saw pac length most ak's come with), as well as the folding style stocks offered by the MAKO group (google "mako group")(they adjust for proper cheek weld as well, which is a major plus IMO). They may be pricy but you get what you pay for. I hope this helps!
