Default PA FTF with NJ Resident - long gun

Thanks to some searching I see it's legal to transfer a long gun face to face to a pa resident. What about an NJ Resident?

Transfer to take place in PA of course.

    Thanks!

Yep - contiguous borders and long-gun - OK.

I believe they just need to have a firearms ID card... a NJ resident can buy from any neighboring state.. I think...

    From the Firearms FAQ: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/index.htm

"A person may only acquire a firearm within the person’s own State, except that he or she may purchase or otherwise acquire a rifle or shotgun, in person, at a licensee's premises in any State, provided the sale complies with State laws applicable in the State of sale and the State where the purchaser resides."

    Federal law still trumps all.

The long gun has to be either shipped to a FFL in the purchaser's state to complete the transfer, or the purchaser must transfer the long gun through a dealer in the seller's state.

    ...only 2 exceptions:
    1. the purchaser is also a FFL.
    2. the transfer is due to bequeath
