    I had read in the digest that the tags wouldn't be mailed until September so I didn't panic. My check was cashed for 4A (my son and I) for round 1 and 5A for round 2. I have not received anything yet. I'm assuming I won't get anything until next month. Worst case, I guess I can print out two copies of the cancelled checks and use them for tags.

    I was kind of late getting my license, picked it up today.
    I see in the book that on August 22nd (this Monday) unsold antlerless tags in 2B 5C 5D can be bought over the counter.
    Let me get this straight, so long as my WMU has unsold tags (at present it does) then I can go back to Walmart and buy one there as opposed to now mailing it in and hoping it's processed in time?

    Chip, only county treasurers can issue doe tags, you can't buy them at Walmart or other issuing agents.

    A-5, you probably need to look at the county websites for business hours. Most likely, it will be 8-4:30 but might be something else.

    My tags never get mailed until just before the deadline. 20+ years of tags and I'e never seen one before early-mid Sept.

    I got my first round in the mail about a week ago, second round has been approved but I haven't gotten them yet
    The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

    Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.
