ceramic paint or not

ok i am getting a ruger p95 stainless for real cheap. I do not like how the gun looks with the stainless on the slide so i want to paint it. I have a buddy that does powder coating and he also does ceramic paint. so would ceramic paint work on a stainless slide or not. what else could i do to the slide to get it to the black color i want. so what do you guys think if i can ceramic the slide will it last or will the paint chip off

by ceramic paint, do you mean cerakote made by NIC industries? If so, yes it will work on a stainless slide as long as it's prepped according to what NIC recommends. I have two cerakoted rifles that are very nice.
