ND in Washington at a Walgreens... guy was "reaching for wallet"
http://www.kitsapsun.com/news/2012/m...verdale-store/
As someone new to guns and currently trying to become more comfortable with both my gun (Glock 19) and my own trigger discipline, what usually causes situations like this? Bad holsters? Carelessness? I see some gun supporters in the comments mention of this article how stupid it was to carry with one in the chamber, but most carriers I talk to on here and other sites support carrying in the chamber.

Get a good stiff holster that covers the trigger. Be careful holstering. Don't fool with it unless you think you need to shoot. Be careful unholstering.
Do that, and you will fine. One in the chamber is the way to go.

How do these people end up doing this? Its not that hard, get a holster that covers the trigger and leave it alone !!! Finger+Trigger = bang...

He said he was 'reaching for his wallet'... too bad we don't know what really happened!
IANAL. I don't give legal advice. I'm only stating my OPINION.
(Did I really need to say that on an Internet forum? LOL)

Ya know, once while fishing with a new flyrod, my grandfather HOOKED himself in the seat of the pants.
Too bad this idiot didn't learn a similar lesson. (What a dumbass.)
I do not carry chambered, and that makes me a minority on this forum, but that's okay...difference is positive, as long as there is acceptance that YOUR way is right for YOU.

Cover the trigger guard. I don't know of anyone ever having a ND with a holstered firearm.

Re: ND in Washington at a Walgreens... guy was "reaching for wallet"
How did he go for his wallet which I assume was in his back pocket and "accidently" shoot his gun?? I highly doubt his gun was in a holster. Or maybe he had a glock, those things like to shoot themselves lol

I don't understand how one confuses a trigger for a wallet. I also kind of can't get over the guy paying for something and leaving following a firearms discharge.
