....For those with kids...

My Daughter is 12 ( turns 13 in a few days ) and for her birthday I bought her a rifle. As this is her first firearm, she recieved a break open-single shot .22 Rossi. I felt that a single shot would leave the least chance for a AD or ND type incident, allow lots of practice due to the low cost of rimfire ammo, a low cost initial investment to introduce her to the sport, and light enough in recoil and noise so as not to overwhelm her senses and cause undo fear.
I must say that I am really looking foward to our first day at the range together.

Nice to see so many educating...Cool!..I also do the unloaded/disarmed firearm on the table trick with my son...Works really well...

yes i have a talk regularly with my son .. age 12 .. he's a game freak so i have to make sure he understands the difference between play and real guns, safety and what to do if he finds a gun weather it b mine or any other gun on the street or in someone Else's home .. (if curiosity killed the cat lets kill curiosity ..teach our youth gun safety
