    Default walls for the range?

    I need a way to build walls, for the range. I've seen IDPA use blue tarp. but i'm thinking something like this:

    http://www.amazon.com/Easy-Gardener-...891592&sr=8-13

    so the wind don't blow it down. or if anyone have any suggestion, something light and cheap since i'll need to break it down, after each use.

    want to setup a hallway scenario right now I'm using imaginary walls.

    Go to your nearby home improvement store, ask them if you can have their empty appliance boxes.
    Rules are written in the stone,
    Break the rules and you get no bones,
    all you get is ridicule, laughter,
    and a trip to the house of pain.

    In the stages I've seen and shot, you're not supposed to be able to see through the walls (unless it has a window). We use 2x4 frames with plywood sheathing that gets (drywall) screwed together, we pre-drill holes in the base of each section and hammer spikes into the ground for support.

    i can build a brick wall, but i need to beable to take it down and bring it home. dry wall + studs + guns and ammo = too much to take back and forth. but thanks for the suggestion. the mesh thing might be the way to go for me, looks like i can staple the ends to a 1x2x6 stud and just stake it to the ground.

    Why not some pvc pipe and a tarp. Maybe some sand bags to hold it in place.

    Hello

    Have made walls for IDPA matches using 2x4 frames sheeted with "corplast" board - a corrigated plastic material they make out door signs from - comes in 4x8 sheets - very light and stands up to weather well - you can get it from places that make signs ( like fast signs ) or order online from graingers or mcmaster carr - not as cheap as blue tarps and clothesline but works good and holds up

    Good Luck

    We build frames with the plastic snow fence material. Bought in big orange rolls at Lowes. Light and makes it easy in terms of safety and spectators. It also holds up really well to stray rounds.

    Two best options I have seen are both built on simple wooden frames with either;

    or

    The first holds up better, but the second provides a little better vision barrier, it all depends on whether you are looking to limit the movement and position of the shooter or take away their ability to see what is coming up.
